Restoran Haeun Gwan
About This Spot
Stepping into Restoran Haeun Gwan is like entering a quiet corner where the familiar hum of Kuala Lumpur softly fades, replaced by the gentle rhythm of shared meals and meaningful conversation. Situated within the calm of Taman Danau Desa, this Korean restaurant welcomes visitors with an effortless warmth that feels both inviting and intimate, yet spacious enough to gather with friends or family without haste.
The interior carries a subtle nostalgia, echoing scenes from a softly lit Korean drama—antique melodies linger in the background, setting a reflective, unhurried tone. This is a place where time decelerates just enough to savor moments between bites, where the clinking of cutlery accompanies stories told over thoughtfully prepared dishes.
The menu offers more than just food; it invites exploration through textures and flavors that drift across the Korean peninsula and beyond, hinting at Japanese and Chinese influences that quietly broaden the palate. Whether it's the warming comfort of a bubbling stew, the satisfying sizzle of Korean BBQ chicken, or the delicate balance of a tofu dish, each element seems meant to anchor the experience rather than dominate it.
What stands out is the approachable quality of the food and the care in the details—from the side fruits served alongside meals to the seamless mix of traditional and contemporary touches. This subtle attentiveness reflects a space where the small joys of dining take precedence over elaborate presentation. Service here matches the atmosphere: unobtrusive but attentive, making it easy to feel at ease.
Restoran Haeun Gwan isn’t only a spot for a meal; it’s a neighborhood haven where the comfort of familiar flavors meets the quiet joy of discovery. It’s less about the rush and more about the unfolding of simple pleasures in a thoughtfully gathered setting.

Great? No, this restaurant is AWESOME! Their kimchi jjigae is the best in town. And there’s a lot of variation in food too, as well. Korean, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine you can find here too

+1 ambiance is nice. The inside is actually quite big. +1 for the interior because it feels those K-drama set. The old music they played also very nice. +1 service is good; cash and touch n go payment accepted. +1 food overall is decent as the set came with fruit slices- also an alternative to not eat at secret recipe. Not many restaurants in this mall, so the fact that this one is open for early weekday dinner is a plus.
